PREGCHECK™ is a nationally recognised accreditation program of the Australian Cattle Veterinarians, providing accountable certification of individual cattle pregnancy status by accredited veterinarians.

Modern pregnancy testing has evolved from a simple yes/no assessment into a valuable herd management tool, including foetal ageing and identification of reproductive abnormalities. PREGCHECK™ supports excellence through peer‑based assessment, ongoing education, and a quality framework that addresses unsatisfactory performance where needed.
Accredited veterinarians record pregnancy results crush‑side using the PREGCHECK™ digital dashboard, linking results to an animal’s NLIS tag. Certification is stored at www.pregcheck.com.au, where producers can verify the validity of certificates associated with sale lots.
Some veterinarians may also apply coloured tail tags—red (over four months pregnant), blue (under four months), or green (not detectably pregnant)—each bearing a serial number and veterinarian ID.
PREGCHECK™ certification can be advertised on AuctionsPlus, giving buyers confidence in pregnancy status and enabling sellers to command a premium for independently certified cattle.
