Recognising the impact of AVA Advocacy
As the new Committee begins its work, we encourage members to take a moment to reflect on what collective advocacy can achieve. In 2025, the AVA delivered a wide range of advocacy outcomes across national and divisional levels, addressing critical issues including workforce sustainability, regulatory reform, biosecurity, professional wellbeing and animal welfare.
A detailed 2025 Advocacy Retrospective outlining this work is available here. This document highlights the impact of member-led advocacy and provides valuable context for the priorities that will be continued.
Looking Ahead
The AVA thanks all members who contribute to our shared purpose—whether through committee service, advocacy engagement, or participation in AVA activities. We look forward to working with the 2026–2028 Division Executive Committee as they help guide priorities, respond to emerging challenges, and continue advocating for a strong, sustainable veterinary profession.
