Sheep, Camelid & Goat
The Sheep, Camelid and Goat Veterinarians aim to:
- promote the professional development of sheep, camelid and goat veterinarians
- to raise the standards of sheep, camelid and goat veterinary practice
- improve the health, welfare and productivity of the sheep, camelid and goat industries within Australia.
Initially, the group began its early stages as the Australian Sheep Veterinary Society in 1984 and later the Australian Sheep Veterinarians in 2005 to provide a forum for an exchange of ideas, a sharing of knowledge, to develop links with the sheep industry and for continuing education for those veterinarians with an interest in sheep.
In 2017, the group merged with the Australian Alpaca Veterinarians to become the Sheep, Camelid and Goat Veterinarians.
