The Veterinary Business Group currently runs its Annual Conference in collaboration with other SIGs.
However, prior to this it was hosting its own Business Summit.
The events feature expert speakers, business related discussions, and finance and management skills workshops. They also culminate in the well known Insights Tours.
These events are also well known for bringing colleagues together to learn, share experiences, and strengthen the professional community that supports the profession.

2026 Conference
The 2026 theme, ‘The Joys of General Practice’, will feature case-focused sessions covering topics such as anaesthesia, euthanasia, and the management of chronic illnesses. Delegates will leave this conference with the tips and tricks you can apply as soon as you return to the clinic. The dedicated VBG stream will deliver valuable sessions on practice management, leadership and business growth.
By uniting two of the AVA’s largest membership groups, this event will provide the perfect setting to reconnect with colleagues, forge new relationships, and share ideas that strengthen our profession.
2025 Conference
The Australian Cattle Vets and Veterinary Business Group joined to bring you “Sustainable Practices, Sustainable Business: Learning for the Future.” This event was a dynamic convergence of over 250 veterinary professionals dedicated to advancing both cattle health and business success. A stellar program was developed integrating practical veterinary science with essential business acumen, ensuring that had attendees left equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in both practice and enterprise.
