- Biography
Alyssia Kennedy is a Tasmanian professional dedicated to empowering young people with essential life skills. Recognising a gap in traditional education regarding practical knowledge, she founded the "Life After School" program. This initiative offers interactive workshops in local schools, teaching students’ vital skills such as budgeting, car expenses and changing a tyre, and taxation. Alyssia's motivation stems from her own experiences post-school, where she felt unprepared for adulthood. She aims to prevent others from feeling similarly unprepared.
In February 2025, Alyssia was honoured as one of the winners of the ABC Trailblazers program, which highlights individuals making significant contributions to regional Australia. This recognition has provided her with media support, networking opportunities, and mentorship, furthering her mission to equip young people with practical knowledge. She recently pitched her program 'Life After School' at Parliament House.
