- Biography
After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1994, Nicole began her career in general practice. For the first part of her career, dentistry was not an area she enjoyed; however, after attending continuing education in 2011, her perspective changed, sparking a passion for the field. While balancing ownership of a veterinary practice, full-time clinical work, and raising two young children, she dedicated her spare time to further study. In 2014, she attained Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Nicole now works part-time in small animal practice, teaches veterinary dentistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and serves as the current President of the Australian Veterinary Dental Society within the AVA.
