Veterinary Business Group: recognising outstanding achievement
These awards and scholarships recognise individuals and businesses that demonstrate outstanding leadership in the veterinary business landscape.
You can nominate yourself, your business or be nominated by an industry representative, other veterinary business professionals or your clients (members of the public). Privacy shall be maintained in relation to nominees.

An organisation that demonstrates outstanding performance across the 10 core competencies of veterinary business.

Requirements
- An essay outlining how the veterinary business is outstanding in each of the core competencies (up to 300 words for each competency)
- Two written references that speak to the outstanding nature of the veterinary business. These may be from clients or other veterinary business colleagues. (You will need to submit this information as one pdf document)
An individual that has challenged the status quo, stimulated industry debate or become a force for change in response to challenges facing veterinary business.
This award may relate to a journal article, published paper or digital content that advances veterinary business.

- Two written references that speak to the significance of the content as a catalyst for change. (You will need to submit this information as one pdf document)
An individual who is both technically excellent in the field of veterinary business, and who has made an outstanding service contribution to veterinary business over time.

Nominations will be accepted from any practice in Australia and the leaders of the business must be Veterinary Business Group members. Veterinary Business Thought Leader Award is also eligible for student members of the Veterinary Business Group.

- Two registrations to the VBG Summit, including tickets to the Gala Dinner

Scholarships
Applications for nominations open April 1 and close 31 July.
An early career veterinary professional*; who is advancing in leadership in a practice management or supervisory role or HVN role clinically.
*Veterinary nurse or technician
An early career veterinarian*, or veterinary student, with an interest in veterinary business.
* Less than 3 years since graduation
Requirements

- Two written references that speak to your potential as an aspiring business leader
- Please also provide a written response to the following questions: (250-500 words per question).

Describe an initiative that you have led in your workplace, celebrating diversity and inclusion and how this has benefited the business and the team.
- Reflect on how your team would describe your leadership style and what your focus is for further development.
- Outline how winning this scholarship would assist you to benefit your workplace, and the broader veterinary community.

Eligibility
Nominations will be accepted from any practice in Australia and the leaders of the business must be Veterinary Business Group members. Lambert Aspiring Business Leader Scholarship is also eligible for student members of the Veterinary Business Group.
