The Australian Small Animal Veterinarians Annual Conference is the flagship event of ASAVs Continuing Professional Development program.
The events, which are often done in collaboration with other SIGs, feature world‑class speakers, cutting‑edge science, and hands‑on skills workshops. Delivering practical, relevant learning that can be taken straight back to the practice. It’s also where new research is shared, ideas are challenged, and the future networks are made.
Above all, the conference is a place to connect—bringing colleagues together to learn, share experiences, and strengthen the professional community that supports the profession.

2026 Conference
The 2026 theme, ‘The Joys of General Practice’, will feature case-focused sessions covering topics such as anaesthesia, euthanasia, and the management of chronic illnesses. Delegates will leave this conference with the tips and tricks you can apply as soon as you return to the clinic. Meanwhile, the dedicated VBG stream will deliver valuable sessions on practice management, leadership and business growth.
By uniting two of the AVA’s largest membership groups, this event will provide the perfect setting to reconnect with colleagues, forge new relationships, and share ideas that strengthen our profession.
