Background to the Award
This award is bestowed to a veterinarian who has rendered outstanding scientific contributions to small animal medicine and/or surgery
Essential criteria
The recipient must qualify for each of the below:
- Be an ASAV member in good standing
- A veterinarian who has rendered outstanding scientific contribution, of a clinical nature, to small animal medicine and/or surgery, and should be nationally recognised in their field
- ASAV members should have benefited substantially as a result of the work of this individual (or group).
Desirable criteria
In addition, the following criteria will further qualify a worthy recipient of this award:
- Is a practitioner who has rendered an outstanding level of mentoring, support or leadership to colleagues.
Application details
- An eligible applicant must be nominated by another colleague.
- Winners should be available to attend the 2026 ASAV Conference, at the Novotel Sunshine Coast, QLD, on Wednesday 19 August 2026 to receive their award, however recipients may nominate a suitable representative (ASAV member) to accept on their behalf.
